Let's talk drawing!!

Last week I could.......This week I can't!!!

It was all going so well - I only have four more to do for my exhibition (I know can you believe it....only four more)......I don't know what's happened. Fingers have turned into bananas, legs into tree trunks and heads into some human/alien hybrid. Dear god you should have seen what I created yesterday - you know that saying people use when someone is really ugly....'they look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down' well that's what my girl looked like.........which, you know, would have been fine if that was the look I had been aiming for!! She looked like a cross between The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the Bride of Frankenstein - Would anyone want to hang that on their wall? I don't think so!!! Well...... unless they had a particularly ugly daughter......

So I think this afternoon I might try and do something that features elephants......they DO have legs like tree trunks and DO look alien (I know they don't look like aliens but if you tried to describe them to someone who has never seen one, or even a picture of one, I bet they wouldn't believe you!!). Play to your strengths I say.......

I'd blame it all on the antibiotics for the Cat Scratch Disease......As soon as you are clear of the most stupidly named disease ever, the focus will return (and hopefully the banana fingers will go too)

Brilliant idea - I'd not thought of that!!

It is a stunningly stupid named disease isn't it.You can imagine a group of people sitting round a big table...

'So what shall we call it then?'
'Erm...dunno'
'God we could be here all night!!'
'I think we should just call it Cat Scratch Disease and go to the pub'
'Brilliant'

That's the only sane reason I can come up with!!

How are your little ones? Pickles recovered?

Oh it's hard, isn't it? I think the elephants sound like a rather marvellous idea, however. Perhaps they could be decorated with bananas too? Also elephants have quite a good deal of facial and body hair, so looking a bit like a monster won't matter too much? I don't know, just a thought...

Pickle is doing ok now. She is putting on a bit of weight and the living wild for two weeks seems like some distant memory to her (as she is back to bullying us and the other two cats, eating the best food in the house etc.).

The rest of us are fine and I'm seeing Jo for lunch today so it will be good to catch up. I'm sure that you'll get any gossip that comes out of that (sure to be drunken) meal.

I am rather upset that you have used a picture, without asking, of my ex-girlfriend on this blog. Even if she looks like the Bride of Frankenstein that is not the point - she may have a good heart.

As for Frankenstein, my neighbours have told me that i have a striking resemblance to him when i come home plastered at 7 o'clock in the morning!

Steve - LOL.....for a split second you had me

But really what you are trying to say is that I should have kept the picture I did and sold it to you!!
