Reasons to be cheerful

1. I have finished the Commission....(WOOOO HOOOOO!!!).....it has now been scanned and is going to the framers tomorrow. I can't post a picture till the person who commissioned it has seen it....I am now really worried that she's not going to like it!!! (All being well it should be on here by Friday)

2. I have finished my Dad's novel!!! I knew once I started it I wouldn't be able to put it down and I was right....it was a bloody good read, real page turner and it has a fab twist at the end...I'm not saying any more except that you will HAVE to get a copy!! (and I want you to know that I'm not feeling at all smug that you're going to have to wait till it comes out....)

3. I have finished the Illustration work....and discovered a love of colour in the form of watercolour paints!! I am rather flabbergasted!!

4. I have a new mobile phone....I even managed to go online and create my own theme for it!!

5. We have booked our flights to the UK and will be arriving in Glasgow on the 26th of September!!! (I am soooo excited!!!)

and, and, AND

5. I've lost 8lbs

I'm currently doing a wee happy wiggle in my chair (It's too hard to type when doing a proper happy dance)

No wonder you're doing a happy wiggle in your chair, you've done so well.

8lbs! Brilliant. Your dad sounds like such a clever chap, I shall have to order his book. Well done on completing the commission too.

Dx - catching up after having been offline for a few days.

Way to go, girl! Well done! Sounds like lots of good things are happening. And so that's your dad -- I did look him up. Gee whiz --how exciting (you're probably used to it, but sounds pretty cool to me having a dad like that!).

Five very good reasons to be cheerful! I'm joining you in the wee happy wiggle (but I'm not doing a wee:-)

Looking forward to seeing the finished piece! xx

Debs - I have to be honest and say that I am rather chuffed it's all done....there were times when I really thought I wasn't going to make it!!!

Yay to 8lbs....I hate trying to lose weight it's just so depressing but I've decided to put my weight equivalent in a bag and every time I feel like I'm not getting anywhere I'm going to lift up the bag!! God only knows if it will work (Actually, I'm just trying to lose some weight so that when I come to Scotland I can eat all the things that I've not been able to in the last year. Chip shop fish and chips here I come....)

I'll let you know when my Dad's book is out....it's well worth the read :-)

Sue - I know...I'm so pleased I got it all done!! (Just keep your fingers crossed that she likes it!!).

I still think it's pretty cool :-)

Lane - LOL!!! I just want to say that I wasn't actually weeing at the same time as wiggling in my chair....that would have just been....well....wrong!!!

However, I am glad that you joined me in my happy wiggle :-)

I have no doubt you are wiggling away like a smaller than normal happy wiggly worm, well done YOU!!!! I had great plans for this week. but have ended up with another purple arse, so I'll have to wait and see. Great that you are going back to the YUK for a little (in)sanity. Debs x

Lehners - I've more to go but 8lbs is not a bad start!! (I even managed to resist chocolate cake!!)

Your poor wee bum!! Have you fallen off Sam again? (or was it Ollie)

Can't wait to go back to the YUK (I love the way you call it that). We've not been in over a year and I really can't wait to see everyone!!

Tomato - Not sure if we're going to be able to squeeze in London (I damn near killed us last time) but was kinda hoping that you wouldn't be adverse to coming up to Scotland whilst we are there?

Yay to you coming back to Bangkok...I'll need to start doing some research on where we might visit :-))

Well done finishing the picture. I am 100% sure that she will absolutely love it - how can she not! (I bet she cries like I did).

I didn't do a happy dance for you, cos I can't see where I might land, but as Robin Williams said in The Birdcage - 'I did an eclectic representation of a dance... but kept it all inside'.

Love Mum xx
