Guess who bought himself a new camera with money he got for his birthday!!! It's an all singing all dancing sooper dooper digital SLR (Olympus 500). He has taken some absolutely fantastic photo's so I thought I would let you see some of them (and for the first time ever I can now show you how pretty the view is from our apartment at night)
To the right is the view from our dining area
and this is it at night (The building with the slope is where Chris works)
Below is the view from our sitting area
And this is why I can never get any peace when I'm trying to draw!!
And just because it's a pretty picture - Our paper fish

Gai and Lugs look like bookends. Tell them if they don't behave you'll drop them in plaster and make real bookends out of them. Much cheaper in vet bills, that way!

That's a great idea!! It would stop them miaowing too :-)

What a fantastic view. Sometimes I long to be somewhere 'vibrant'. They are great photos.
And Ms JJ I fear I shall have to call cat-line for your blatant disregard of splat welfare. (Mind you they would make lovely bookends:-)

Lane - Sometime I look out at it and can't quite believe I actually live here!!
LOL Lane. JJ you better watch out or before you know it you will have the Writing Police and Splat Welfare after you!!

What a view!
Wow!

It's beautiful isn't it Caroline

Gai and Lugs would perhaps make lovely bookends but they would be huge! They have at least doubled in size since July- they look fantastic.

Oh. PS does the camera have gridlines?
Tracey xx
Tracey I can't believe how much they have grown. Honestly you should see the size of Gai's stomach - he's turning into a right wee puddin!!
Chris insisted on the camera having gridlines!! He's now making comments like 'OMG I'm getting worse than Derek!!'

The photos are fab! My camera is an idiot-proof point-and-press affair, not a digit in sight - what are gridlines?

Chris and I have decided that you can use our old Digital camera whilst you are here (That way you can view your photos at the end of the day and we can burn them all onto disk for you to take home).
Gridlines stop you taking squint photo's (at least that is the idea anyway!!)

How kind, you're a sweetheart! :-)) I'll probably need lessons first... As you know, I'm a bit of a technophobe.

It's really easy!! You just point and press.....and it's better than a normal camera cause you can see what your photo is going to look like on the screen (you don't even need to screw your face up to look through the view finder!!)
